Technical Benefits

Alpha Series Benefits

CPU

Ryzen 9 9950X Processing Power

Fast single-thread performance for charts, indicators, platform logic, and automation.

The processing power listed on the plan is never shared and stays available through busy market sessions, large backfills, and long optimization runs.

CPU

ECC DDR5 Memory

High memory bandwidth with real-time error detection and correction.

ECC memory costs more and is harder to source than ordinary desktop RAM. We use it because fast charts, large data sets, and long-running automation still need memory stability.

CPU

Exchange-Adjacent Locations

Infrastructure near major exchange, broker, and market-data systems reduces avoidable network distance.

Typical Chicago-to-CME latency is 0-1ms. Other routes depend on the location, broker, exchange, and carrier path, which is why the right server location matters.

CPU

Blended Transit & BGP Routing

Multiple Tier-1 carriers keep market data, order traffic, and Remote Desktop sessions on efficient routes, with alternatives ready.

If one carrier develops congestion or loses a path, BGP can move traffic to another. That helps the trading platform stay connected to broker and market-data systems without depending on one network.

CPU

Mirrored Gen4/Gen5 NVMe

RAID 1 mirrors data across fast NVMe drives so one disk failure does not take the server with it.

Fast NVMe shortens chart loads, historical backfills, platform database work, and optimization-file access. Mirroring handles a disk failure; automated off-server snapshots handle recovery beyond the node.

CPU

Built Around The Workload

Start with the cores, RAM, and storage your platform workspaces actually need.

Support can size or customize Alpha around platform count, chart load, automation, backtesting, data retention, and operating-system requirements.

CPU

Managed 24/7 Support

Skilled humans with trading-platform and Windows server fluency are available around the clock. Management is included.

A NinjaTrader freeze, broken data feed, Windows issue, and server fault can look surprisingly similar at first. The people answering know where to look and what to do next.

CPU

Layered Security

Facility controls, firewalls, encrypted RDP, and DDoS mitigation protect the path between the trader and the platform.

Biometric facility access protects the hardware. Hardware and software firewalls protect the server. Layer 3, 4, and 7 DDoS filtering helps keep attack traffic from interrupting platform access and market-data connections. ChartVPS is SOC 2 Type I compliant.

CPU

Windows Server 2025 Included

A current Windows environment, provisioned for remote trading workloads.

Run NinjaTrader, MetaTrader, Sierra Chart, TradeStation, and other Windows trading platforms in a familiar environment. Windows 11 Pro is available where the platform and configuration call for it.

Dedicated resource allocation

Resource Allocation

Your CPU Power Stays Yours

The CPU cores shown on your Alpha plan stay available to your VPS. When charts, indicators, feeds, automation, and backtests all ask at once, another client's busy server cannot take that processing power away.

A spec sheet is easy. Sustained access to the resources on it is the part that matters during market hours.

Liquid cooling advantage

Sustained Performance

Cooling For Sustained CPU Load

Alpha is built for sustained CPU work, not short benchmark bursts. Liquid cooling moves heat away from Ryzen 9 9950X host nodes efficiently, helping performance remain stable through long backtests, optimizations, and market sessions.

Cooling does not make a strategy faster by itself. It prevents heat from becoming the reason the CPU slows down.

Better thermal management can extend hardware life by up to 25%, reducing component wear and helping Alpha nodes remain stable through years of sustained trading workloads.

DDR5 RAM

Memory

DDR5 Bandwidth. ECC Stability.

DDR5 moves more data between memory and the CPU than DDR4. That matters when several charts, feeds, indicators, and strategy processes are active together.

ECC detects and corrects memory errors in real time. It is more expensive and harder to source than ordinary desktop RAM. We use it across Alpha because speed without stability is not much of an upgrade.

Where Alpha Earns Its CPU

High-Frequency Automation

Strong single-thread performance helps trading logic, data handling, and order preparation move through the platform with less infrastructure delay. Alpha also addresses the network side with exchange-adjacent locations, blended carriers, and optimized routes.

Scalping & HFT Workflows

Scalping and HFT can keep charts, indicators, data feeds, and automated logic busy at once. Alpha keeps the platform responsive through fast market sessions, while exchange-adjacent networking shortens the route to broker and exchange systems.

Arbitrage Workflows

Compare prices across several markets, brokers, or exchanges at once. Alpha gives the feeds, platform instances, and automation the CPU capacity to keep those comparisons current.

Backtesting & Optimization

High-clock-speed Ryzen 9 9950X cores and fast Gen4/Gen5 NVMe shorten historical-data loading and repeated test and optimization cycles, so more runs finish in the same research window.

Options & Derivatives

Give large option chains, pricing models, volatility calculations, and repeated scenario work more CPU and memory headroom.

Quantitative Analysis

Process large data sets, model calculations, scripts, and live platform tasks together on high-clock-speed Ryzen 9 9950X cores and DDR5 ECC memory.

Portfolio Optimization

Iterative allocation and constraint calculations benefit from dedicated cores and memory bandwidth. Larger parallel workloads may be better suited to Delta.

Market Simulation

Run repeated scenarios and strategy tests without claiming that faster infrastructure makes the prediction more accurate. It makes the computation less of a wait.

Multi-Platform Trading

Run NinjaTrader, MetaTrader, Sierra Chart, TradeStation, data feeds, and supporting tools together when one trading workspace has become several.

Frequently Asked Questions

Alpha is the CPU-driven ChartVPS series. It is built for NinjaTrader, MetaTrader, Sierra Chart, TradeStation, HFT automation, deep backtesting, optimization, and trading setups that run several CPU-heavy processes together.
The processing power shown on your plan is set aside for your VPS. When other clients are busy, they cannot take CPU capacity away from your charts, indicators, automation, backtests, or trading platforms.
The 0-1ms figure refers specifically to typical Chicago-to-CME latency. For futures traders using CME-connected brokers and data feeds, that short route reduces network delay between the Alpha server and CME infrastructure. Other routes depend on the server location, broker, exchange, and carrier path.
No. A private direct-market-access circuit is a different product at a very different cost. ChartVPS uses exchange-adjacent infrastructure, blended carriers, and optimized routing instead. From Chicago, typical latency to CME is 0-1ms.
Choose Alpha when the workload is primarily CPU-driven. Choose Gamma when Bookmap, Sierra Chart, order flow, DOM, footprint charts, or GPU-assisted rendering and analysis are the heavier part of the setup.
Choose Delta when you need the entire physical server with no virtualization layer, substantially more resources, or room for quant, multi-platform, and hedge-fund-level workloads.
Yes. CPU cores, RAM, storage, operating system, and related configuration can be sized around the platform count, chart load, automation, backtesting, and data requirements. Support can help scope it before deployment.
Provisioning, 24/7 skilled human support, server troubleshooting, monitoring, extended DDoS protection, and automated daily snapshots are included. Support understands both Windows servers and trading platforms, so a NinjaTrader, MetaTrader, Sierra Chart, or TradeStation issue does not start with a script. Custom RDP ports and firewall rules can also be configured at no extra cost.
Security starts with biometric and controlled facility access, then continues through hardware and software firewalls, encrypted Remote Desktop communication, custom access rules, and Layer 3, 4, and 7 DDoS mitigation. Those layers protect the hardware, the Windows server, and the connection used to reach the trading platform. ChartVPS is SOC 2 Type I compliant. Read the security guide.
Yes. The ChartVPS portal provides server controls, reboots, and performance visibility without waiting for support. ServerIQ adds deeper visibility into CPU, RAM, storage, Windows processes, and trading-application stability. See the portal controls.
Yes. Alpha is accessed through Remote Desktop from Windows, macOS, Android, and other supported devices.
Yes. Remote Desktop can pass multiple displays, microphone input, and camera access through to the Alpha workspace. These options are configured before connecting, and the Helpdesk covers the exact settings.
Yes. Support can configure a custom RDP port and firewall rules at no extra cost, or you can manage them yourself through Windows. Custom access rules reduce automated scanning noise and limit which traffic can reach the server. See the configuration guide.
Yes. SFTP can be configured for encrypted file transfers between your local machine and Alpha. Support can help with the server and firewall configuration if needed.
