If your TradingView is running slowly, getting stuck on a โLoading Dataโ screen, or just not displaying charts properly, the issue could be coming from your stored cache or cookies. As time goes on, these bits of data can accumulate, which can mess with the platformโs performance. Thatโs where this guide comes in! Itโll walk you through the breezy steps you can take to clear your cache and cookies, which is often the quickest fix for restoring smooth functionality to TradingView!
Browser (Web App)
1
Open TradingView in the browser that youโve been using (in our case, this is Google Chrome). Then, head on over to Chromeโs Site Settings.
2
Here, youโll see how much data and how many cookies are being stored in your browser from TradingView. To clear it out, simply click on Delete Data.
3
Once youโve done that, a notification will pop up telling you that youโll be signed out, and that the cached files will be deleted. Just hit Delete to confirm your choice. Now, youโve got a clear cache!
App Version
1
Hit the Windows key + โSโ to open Windows Search. Type in โPrograms,” then click on Add or remove programs.
2
Navigate through the list of installed programs to find TradingView. Highlight it, then choose Advanced Options.
3
In this menu, youโll see two buttons: Repair and Reset. Click on Reset to clear the cache โ a checkmark will appear once process has been completed. With that, the TradingView appโs cache has been emptied!
Using these methods, your caches in both the browser version and application version of TradingView should be nice and clear! Be sure to do this every once in a while to keep your cookies and data from building up too much.
